Garden Hijinx

This week was bittersweet for the Madison Square Garden brass. I will start with the sweet part, though. It was nice to have Zach Randolph come in for a press conference, and he had the decency to change his clothes after the club last night/this morning. Also, aliens came to the Garden and inhabited the body of Glen Sather. The alien Sather then signed Chris Drury, and Scott Gomez, to long term deals, and voila! The Rangers are now serious Cup contenders. So my winter teams are getting stronger, and they are making moves that make too much sense. Something bad has to happen. Right?

So, Anucha Browne Sanders, former Knicks executive, had new allegations released in her sexual harassment suit, against Isaiah, James Dolan, and the Knicks. She said that she was fired because the Knicks knew that she was filing a suit against the Knicks, last year, and she claims that Isaiah was the one who sexually harassed her. The first new allegation is that Stephon Marbury coerced a front office employee (who was female) to have sex with him. The other is the Isaiah told one of the Knick City Dancers to go into the referees locker room, and be extra nice to the officials (a.k.a. give Knick Bavetta a hummer, not the H2 type either). I think that she was fired for an unfair reason, but its tough for a woman to be in the buisness shes in. In sports, locker room talk goes all the way to the top of the front office, because these guy's have been in locker rooms all their lives. She overheard the wrong things, and has a case of paranoia. It sounds like the Knicks had no real reason to fire her, but she has to realize that most broads who hang out with NBA ballers get screwed by that player (unless it's A.C. Green or John Amechi). So the Marbury accusation is ridiculous. The second thing is Isaiah was probably kidding about the cheerleader going into the refs' locker room. And if he wasn't, it's a good idea anyways (they're on the payroll, and I can name some centers on the roster who suck dick. Ahem, jeromejames, ahem.) I also think that this is the case of a woman thinking she is hotter than she really is (there should be a 1 through 10 scale of hotness, that every woman should have branded on their licences. Any woman 6 and lower would be incapable of being a victim of sexual harassment). I mean, c'mon:
