The Mets just completed a deal to bring Johan "the best pitcher in the league, SUCK IT!!!!!" Santana to Queens. I don't have much to say except that I am a happy sports fan, because now one of my teams is playing for a championship, and another will follow. AND, the Mets gave up nothing (4 minor league prospects)!!! I'm besides myself, so I'm going to interview myself.

Thank you for delivering up to the minute breaking news. Last I heard the Mets were the frontrunners, but then I drop in here and find out the good news. WTG Laredo Slider! When I yelled SANTANA! out loud my wife thought I was talking about the burrito shop down the street.
The odds on the Mets winning the World Series are 5-1, an improvement from the 8-1 odds they had just after Boston won the title in October, according to Las Vegas Sports Consultants, which advises Nevada sports books on betting lines. That places Santana's likely new team as the second choice to the Red Sox, who are 9-2, and ahead of the Yankees, who are third at 11-2.
